My 24 Hours Leading Up To MUET

After I came back from school,i felt a bit tired but also aware that MUET exam was tomorrow.I started feel nervous about tomorrow. So,I rested for a while before getting ready for the Friday prayer which help me feel calmer. After returning home,I take a bath and took a short nap to regain my energy and it really helped me to clear my mind.Later in the evening, I decided to go jogging in just 30 minutes to release some stress and refresh myself and by the end of the day I felt a bit more prepared and confident for tomorrow.

At night,I took a shower and had a light snack before starting a little revision. I watched short MUET tips on TikTok to refresh my memory on essay structures and important vocabulary. I did not study too long because I wanted to avoid overthinking, so I spent some time playing games and watching a drama to relax and reduce my nervousness. I also prepared my things for the next day, including my IC, exam slip, and stationery, so I would not have to rush in the morning. Finally, I went to bed early at around 11 PM, taking deep breaths to calm my mind and get enough rest, ready to face the MUET exam the next day.

The next morning, I woke up at 5 AM, took a shower, and performed Subuh prayer while praying that the MUET exam would be made easy for me. I had a slice of bread and a cup of tea since Madam Jessie was going to provide breakfast for us later. On the way to school, I felt very nervous, but when I arrived, I chatted with my friends and asked for some last-minute study tips. Everyone was nervous, but the breakfast sponsored by Madam Jessie helped us feel more prepared and energetic.

At 7:30 AM, we were quarantined in the exam hall to begin MUET. The first paper was Reading, which I found the most difficult because the questions were unexpected and there were distracting noises around, but I managed to finish it.Next was the Writing paper, which I had been most worried about because I was afraid I might not understand the questions. However, when I opened the paper, I smiled widely because the questions were easy, and I could answer them confidently. After completing all the papers, including Listening, which I found the easiest, my friends and I felt extremely relieved. We cleaned our desks and left the hall, then spent some time together drinking tea and chatting.

I am grateful that I was able to answer all the MUET questions and I hope to achieve Band 4+. Finally, I would like to thank Madam Jessie for teaching me MUET and helping me improve my English skills.

Flowers sway and fragrance fills the air,
Evening breeze whispers calm and true;
Thank you, Madam Jessie, for all your care,
Your lessons since Semester 1 will always guide me through.

MY MUET JOURNEY

When I first took MUET, I achieved Band 3.5. It’s a decent start, but my real goal is to reach Band 5. I know it won’t be easy, but I’m determined to improve and push myself further.

Throughout this journey, I’ve started to recognize my strengths and weaknesses. One thing I find easiest is the reading component. I enjoy reading in English, and I can usually understand the passage well and spot the answers quickly. It’s like solving a puzzle—challenging but fun.

However, the part I struggle with the most is writing. Sometimes, I know what I want to say, but I just can’t express it well in English. My mind goes blank or I end up repeating the same ideas. I often have trouble developing strong points and organizing them clearly in an essay.

This lack of ideas is one of my biggest weaknesses in MUET. To overcome it, I’ve started reading more English books and articles to expand my vocabulary and gain new perspectives. I’ve also been watching videos and tips online about MUET writing, especially how to plan essays and build arguments.

Every step I take brings me closer to my goal. I know Band 5 won’t come overnight, but I’m ready to put in the effort. This journey is more than just chasing a number,it’s about becoming a better English user every day.

HOW MADAM JESSIE HELPED ME FIND MY VOICE

I still remember the first time I had to speak in front of my class for MUET. The topic was about studying abroad, and I struggled a lot. My mind went completely blank, my pronunciation was messy, and I had no idea what to say. I could feel my hands shaking and my confidence dropping with every word.

That moment became a turning point because it was when Madam Jessie started guiding me.

She didn’t just focus on correcting my grammar or pronunciation. She taught me how to structure my points, how to prepare quickly, and most importantly, how to be confident in myself. She always reminded me, “It’s okay to make mistakes, as long as you try and learn from them.”

From that day on, I started to improve. I followed her advice, read more to gain ideas, and practiced speaking in front of my classmates and even at home. Slowly, I became more comfortable with expressing my thoughts in English.

Thanks to Madam Jessie’s patience and support, I am no longer afraid to speak in front of others. I now speak with more clarity and belief. I still have room to grow, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

Sometimes, it just takes one person to change your journey and for me, that person is Madam Jessie.

MY LOVE FOR MANCHESTER UNITED

If there’s one football club that holds a special place in my heart, it’s Manchester United. I’ve been supporting them since around 2015, and through the highs and lows, I’ve never stopped believing in them.

Like many fans, my love for the club started with one player,Cristiano Ronaldo. Even though he wasn’t at United when I first became a fan, I admired his legacy and impact at Old Trafford. When he returned to the club in 2021, it felt like a dream come true. His energy, determination, and goal scoring ability reminded us all why he’s one of the greatest of all time.

Over the years, I’ve seen Manchester United go through tough times. Right now, the club is clearly underperforming, the consistency isn’t there, and the results are disappointing. But despite all that, my support never fades. Being a fan isn’t just about celebrating trophies,it’s about loyalty, passion, and believing that your team will rise again.

What makes Manchester United special is more than just the history or the number of Premier League titles. It’s the spirit of the fans, the never give up attitude, and the legacy of legends like Ronaldo, Rooney, and Sir Alex Ferguson.

I truly hope the club can improve in the coming seasons with better strategy, stronger teamwork, and a clearer vision. Until then, I’ll continue to stand behind my team, win or lose. After all, once a Red, always a Red. GGMU!

MY TOP 3 SPEAKING TIPS

As someone working towards Band 5 in MUET, I’ve learned that improving in speaking isn’t just about using big words,it’s about being prepared, building ideas, and practicing often. Here are my top 3 speaking tips that have helped me along the way.

1. Watch MUET Speaking Tip Videos
One of the most helpful ways to improve is by watching videos online. I follow MUET speaking tutorials and sample answers on TikTok. They show how to organize your thoughts, use better vocabulary, and manage time during the test. Watching others speak helps me understand what works and what doesn’t.

2. Read English Books to Get Ideas
Sometimes the hardest part of speaking is not knowing what to say. That’s why I make time to read English books, articles, and short stories. Reading helps me collect ideas, expand my vocabulary, and understand different points of view. It gives me something to talk about during the test.

3. Practice with Friends
Practicing with friends makes a big difference. We take turns doing mock speaking tests and give each other tips. It helps build confidence and reduces nervousness. Plus, it’s more fun than practicing alone.

These three habits watching, reading, and practicing have helped me become more confident in MUET speaking. If you’re preparing too, give them a try.

THE TIME TRAP IN MUET

One of the biggest challenges MUET students face is poor time management. Whether it’s during the Reading, Writing, or even Speaking test, many of us struggle to finish on time. I’ve experienced it myself—rushing the last few questions or leaving my writing incomplete. It can really affect your marks.

So, how do we solve this?

Solution 1: Practice With a Timer
The best way to train your time management is by simulating the real exam. Set a timer whenever you do past year papers or exercises. For example, give yourself exactly 90 minutes to do a full Reading paper. At first, it might feel stressful, but over time, you’ll get used to the pressure and improve your speed.

Solution 2: Learn to Plan Quickly
In Writing especially, planning can save you time. Spend the first 5 minutes outlining your main points. This helps you write faster because you already know your structure. Without a plan, many students waste time halfway through thinking about what to write next.

In conclusion, time management can be a silent killer in MUET if not taken seriously. But with consistent practice and smart strategies, it’s possible to overcome. Personally, these two simple habits using a timer and planning ahead have helped me stay more focused and less panicked during practice. I believe anyone can improve with effort and discipline.
